Hey… I’m Natalie
Designer of all trades, small business owner, creative daydreamer & leading lady over here at Nat’s Design Studio.
So… what do you want to know?
There’s lots I can tell you. I could talk about my insatiable passion for design, and how I share my ideas with anyone willing to listen. I may also mention my strong belief that when you love what you do it’s reflected in your work. Importantly I believe that design is an innate talent, and something that is very much a part of me and my creations. So grab a cuppa, here’s my life story…
MINI ME AROUND 1 YEAR OLD
Chapter 1.
The Younger Years
As a child I was fascinated with paper, obsessed with packaging and couldn’t get enough of typography... My desire to create has grown from a hobby into a career and I now spend my every minute on a mission to make my world pretty.
Throughout my school years I excelled in the arts, design and technology and creative writing. Cooking also became a passion, coming from an immensely foodie family and having a Dad as a chef this was always going to be on the cards.
On finishing school I took up Double IT and Textile Design at college. I then went on to study Multimedia Design at uni and after graduating moved to London to pursue my career as a designer.

Chapter 2.
Industry Learnings
I started my career in advertising, working on household names such as Virgin Media, Bacardi and Cadbury’s. In 2014 I wanted to experience more of what the design world had to offer and took the leap into freelancing where I worked for top agencies around London on brands such as Honda, Co-op, Google and Samsung.
In 2017 I left to pursue my passion for paper with Nat’s Paper Studio. This studio was created out of an insatiable passion for all things bright and beautiful. So I married my experience as a designer in the advertising world to my stationery addiction to offer services from wedding stationery, on the day design, styling and tablescapes to party invites, prints and wall art.
Chapter 3.
Family Foodies
As Covid hit and the wedding landscape changed I moved into my family business Modern Persian Kitchen, an award winning food company. As a Co-Founder with my parents this position saw me take on a variety of roles and be the sole person responsible for creative and design across the board. From creating the brand, designing the packaging and building and creating a customer facing e-commerce website to product photography, email design and social media content.

In my personal life I married my husband Tom in 2018, right in the middle of my stationery career, and soon after became a mum to Lily and Rosa. Though they’re very different, both are little crafters at heart, which brings me so much joy. Creativity runs deep in our home, and I truly believe design isn’t just a skill… it’s a passion passed down and built from within.
Chapter 4.
Pretty Spaces
I was renovating our Wimbledon home where my love for interiors grew and soon became an obsession. An area of design I had always had a keen eye for, but never truly put it into practice work wise. This desire to make the world around me and our home a personal, practical yet creative space remains firmly today while renovating our new home and working on my new business Design & Refine Interiors, alongside my friend and business partner Jenna.
Chapter 5.
The Here & Now
Honing in on all things creative, I bring you Nat’s Design Studio; a space where colour, emotion, and clarity meet.
After becoming a mum, my world shifted, and so did my priorities. I knew I wanted to build a business that aligned with my life, my values, and the kind of people I truly enjoy working with. Nat’s Design Studio was created for like-minded small businesses who resonate with my story and want to elevate their brand and website with purpose and personality. And if you love interiors too, you’ll find me over at Design and Refine, where I bring the same thoughtful approach to curated, creative spaces.
